Caterham 7 Blackbird

Race/Trackday/Road Big Bore Honda Blackbird engined Caterham 7

This car is has been road registered during my ownership but is currently on a SORN as certain parts have been removed to lighten it for hillclimbing. The car was built by Blackbird Motorsport in 2002, based on a Vauxhall (stiffer) chassis. Hardcopy build photos available, MSA logbook, file full of invoices and old MOTs.

The car is a multiple winner in both endurance racing, in the hands of Graham Booth, and in hillclimbing under my ownership.

Engine is 1137 Honda Blackbird with carrilo rods, JE pistons, Nova close ratio sequential gearbox, Pace dry sump system, oil cooler, Keihin 41mm flat slide carbs, New clutch just fitted. 50lt bag tank. Plumbed in extinguisher. Boxes of spares.

Wide track, quick rack, Avo adjustable front shocks, Bilstein rears,

1 carbonfibre race airbox with side entry bonnet.1 fibreglass inboard airbox and foam air filter, both with 2nd bonnet to suit. Full roll cage and side impact bars. Spare nose cone and wheel arches included.

Carbon dash, Stack system including fuel level sensor, additional lap-timer instruments, quickshift and upshift light kits. Removable steering wheel. Tillet seat & foam race seat.

Barmby 8'& 7' rims with nearly new super sticky Hillclimb slicks. A 2nd set of used endurance slicks. Nearly new black minator alloys with Yoki 48s for road use. Set of older minilights with used race wets. In all 3 sets of wheels, 4 sets of tyres.

Parts included to revert to road legal spec. Lights, electric reverse gear, handbrake.

Woodford single axle trailer with winch and tyre rack included in price.
