I am selling my 1998 Porsche 996 race car fitted with a 3.4L engine and a 6 speed manual transmission with and some spares. The car is in great condiditon and perfectly straight there are no dents or damage but as with all race cars there are a marks – nothing noticeable.
The car has been successfully raced in the Porsche Club GB Open Series, Intermarque and more recently I finished 2nd in the Porsche Open Race Series in Ireland 2006. The car is only for sale as I am moving up to the GT3 class with a GT3 Cup car.
The car is elligable for many race series in the UK and Ireland as well as a hillclimb or sprint car.
The car has been super reliable over the last two season and has had a small fortune spent on developing the car over the years, however the car is easy to run and inexpensive to maintain.

Specification
Overview – a 996 with many GT3 cup upgrades. Weight 1130kgs
Engine 3.4L with deep sump conversion. ECU remapped by DMS (2006 - £1k) with approx 320BHP, currently running on 102 octane race fuel, but equally happy on 98 pump fuel.
Transmission – 6 speed with BS short shift kit (2006 - £200). Hayward and Scott race silencers fitted 2006 (£750) Race performace headers fitted 2007 (£400)
Chassis – Stripped out interior with 6 point weld in Custom Cage roll cage with X side bracing across the door apertures. GT3 Cup doors lightweight plastic/Perspex/carbon fibre. Fibre glass GT3 Cup bonnet and genuine Porsche GT3 rear wing. Scroth 6 point harness in date to 2009 And a Corbeau race seat. Momo steeing wheel with Sparco quick release steering wheel. GT3 Cup perspex rear screen.
Suspension – Penske adjustable coil over race dampers and springs with adjustable anti-roll bars front and rear.
Hubs have all been converted to GT3 Cup centre locks at the beginning of 2007. All hubs refurbished by PARR Motorsport this year with new wheel bearings and all other associated parts Cost of hub conversion £3k.
Brakes – GT3 spec front and rear. 350mm front rotors with 6 pot GT3 calipers, 320mm rear rotors with 4 pot GT3 calipers. Padgid yellow pads. Note the rotors were fitted brand new at the beginning of 2007 and have only done 8 races. Cost of brake upgrade £3k
Wheels – BBS centre lock 8.5"x18" an 10"x18" race wheels.

Also included for the buyer if they collect from Northern Ireland is to do a corner weight set up for the car. I have the correct scales and will corner weight for the new driver FOC.
The car will be returned to white with all decals removed.
