IVECO Box 180E23 Race Transporter (18 Ton)

This is an S Reg (1998) turbo diesel, sleeper cab truck that requires at least a Rigid HGV licence as it is rated at 18 Tons (i.e. it cant be driven on a normal car licence).
It has done 473242 Km (~285,000 miles) and we have certainly looked after it in the 2 years we have had it. It has passed 2 MOTs since we have owned it, the 2nd one in August 2008. It was also serviced in August by a 3rd party garage. We have just put 6 months tax on it as well.
The rear box unit was completely painted (professionally) - it is a silver colour with a slight blue-ish tinge and the rear was painted black.
It was used as a normal load carrying truck, but we converted it to a race transporter to carry 4 Mazda MX5 race cars. The tail lift is just about capable of lifting an MX5 weighing in at ~870 Kg , so will be fine lifting anything around/lower than this weight (we have had Elises and Caterhams on it, no problem). The interior has the racking/ramps to carry the 4 cars and I have 2 couple of hydraulic rams to be fitted so the ramp can be automatically put up and down (at the moment it has to be done manually using jacks, etc.)
We have had no issues with it in the time we have owned it - it has regularly taken us and the race cars all over the country and even to Spa, Belgium without any problems. It has a tacho system fitted and is limited to 55 mph. It is also a sleeper cab - very useful for saving on the hotel bills !
