Rally Preparation Services are thrilled to have been consigned to offer for sale this Buick 25 Vintage Rally Car.
Buick is one of the oldest vehicle marques with the first cars being built at the turn of the (last) century. Buick’s early success was due in part to technical innovation including an overhead valve configuration and the marketing flair of Billy Durrant. Buick’s financial success soon paved the way to the formation of General Motors (GM) with a structured model and brand ladder. For 1929 the 116 series (116 is the dimension of the wheelbase in inches) continued with the engines stroked and bored up from 3200cc to 3900cc, the bigger valves and a revised oil pump giving a useful 10bhp increase.
This charming car was imported from California in 2012 where it was reported to have been tucked away in a garage untouched for 20 years. When the car arrived, it was converted to its gentle rally spec over the following 4 years. Since then the car has done relatively little work and more recently the current owner has continued with many gentle upgrades to keep the car in good form.
